Dear Tom,

In your letter, you told me that your mother gave birth to a little brother for you last month. It seems that you are upset because you are no longer the center of your family. All your parents’ attention are attracted by the little baby. 

I really understand your feelings as I also have a younger sister who is only five-years old now.First of all, They didn’t notice your problem just because the baby is so little that it needs more care. They thought you are old enough to take good care of yourself. 

But I am sure your parents do not love you any less than before. I suggest you should express your feelings directly to your parents. Secondly, try to love the baby as well. Though it may cry sometimes, the shining smile on its face is the best medicine for you to relax after a hard day’s work. As time goes by, you will find it wonderful to have such a lovely little brother. 

Last but not least, the little baby is the dearest person to you except your parents. When something worries you, he will always be the strong support standing beside you.I hope you think my advice is worth taking.
